I am in love with this plugin from WPeka. In the past, I have spent many hours of research on the internet to create my legal pages. Even then, I didn’t feel totally comfortable or confident that I had everything I needed. I’m sure you can relate to that.
- Have you ever spent hours of wasted time searching for the correct legal disclosures for your website?
- Have you been worried that your legal disclosures are not enough?
- Have you ever spent thousands of dollars on an attorney to create legal disclosures for you?
- Have you seen useful legal disclosure plugins but they are out of your budget?
Let’s talk about cost first because for most small business or home bloggers it is usually a huge factor in our purchase decision.
I am amazed that this simple, yet powerful, plugin sells for only $37. Check out what you get for this price:
- Linking Policy Template
- External Links Policy Template
- Terms and Conditions Template
- Refund Policy Template
- Affiliate Disclosure Template
- Affiliate Agreement Template
- Earnings Disclaimer Template
- Antispam Template
- Double Dart Cookie Template
- Disclaimer Template
- FTC Statement Template
- Medical Disclaimer Template
- Testimonials Disclosure Template
- Amazon Affiliate Disclosure Template
- DMCA Policy Template
- California Privacy Rights Template
- Digital Goods Refund Policy Template
- Blog Comments Policy Template
That’s 22 different templates, guys and gals. I doubt you would need more than this for your website. They have everything covered.
I am using several of these on this site which you can see links to in the footer area. I literally had my legal pages done and published in 10 minutes. It probably would have been faster but my server was publishing extremely slow for some reason. 🙁
Each template is approved by an attorney and follows all necessary Internet laws. This, of course, was very important to me, because I wouldn’t be saving any money if I still had to get the templates approved by an attorney.
There are numerous features, which you can read about here, but one of my favorites is that you can create a pop-up for any page you choose that makes your visitor accept any policy page before they continue. They would have to agree to the terms to view that page, or even access your site. While I’m not yet using this feature on my site, I can see it becoming very useful once I get my store up and running (oh yeah, lots coming, including my WordPress Tutorial Online Course, custom t-shirts/hoodies for geeks like me, and much more.)
As you can see in the graphic to the left, the set up page for creating your legal pages is very user-friendly. All you have to do is fill in your personal information, your social links, and make a few quick decisions.
- Do you want to show your legal pages in search results (your page, not Google)?
- Do you have affiliate ads on your website?
- Do you have adult content on your website?
- Do you want to give credit to WPEka for the WPLegalPages Plugin? If you select Yes (slider to the right) then their information will appear on your legal pages.
After answering all the questions, simply click Save, and then click the link below the Save button, “Click Here to Create Legal Pages.”
Creating Your Pages
Next, you will see the screen shown in the graphic on the right. Simply click on any of the links under “Choose Template,” and the legal form text will appear in the WordPress Editor. You can change any of the information, but be careful you don’t delete or change any important legal statements.
The plugin will automatically fill in any portions of the page that have personal information using the data you provided on the previous screen. If you need to change this information at a later date, be warned that you have to modify the page itself from the Pages section of your WP Admin Panel. You can’t just go back to the Settings, change the information, and expect all the pages to update. That would be a nice feature for their next update, however.
Once the page is the way you want it, just click Publish and the page is published to your site. As I mentioned earlier, you can then find it in your WP Admin Panel under Pages.
On this site I am using the templates for:
- Refund Policy
- Affiliate Disclosure with the text from Amazon Affiliate at the end
As I write this, I realize that I should probably also add the text from Digital Goods Refund Policy into my Refund Policy page so that I have my video courses covered as well. So that will be there soon, too! 🙂
Posts Page Update
As you can see in the graphic below, after installing WPLegalPages your WP Admin Panel will have a new link called “Legal Pages.” That is, of course, what you click to change your settings, or create a new page.
You’ll also notice in this graphic that there is an “Add Affiliate Disclosures” section. The plugin modifies your New Post structure to include this section at the bottom of your page. If you created a post that includes affiliate links, such as this post, then be sure to put the check mark on so that the plugin can insert the required legal information within your post.
I hate to sound like a commercial saying, “But wait! There’s more!”, but there really is more! 😛
WPEka has a club that you can join which gives you access to every single plugin and theme they have for sale. Right now, they have 86 plugins and themes that you can download! I plan on making a post on a few of my favorite themes (they have so many great ones!) very soon.
I highly recommend this club. They have three different Club Packages allowing you to pay monthly, quarterly, or annually.
These are not only great prices, but with your membership you also get free technical support for any WordPress problem, even if your problem has nothing to do with one of their plugins or themes! That really is a great deal. As a comparison, I will be offering a similar service once my store is complete, but monthly tech support will be $49 (web clients will get it for free with their monthly hosting cost.)
They release new plugins and themes every single month so you will get your money’s worth if you remain a recurring monthly member. Honestly, the tech support alone is worth the price.
On top of all this, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you aren’t completed satisfied with their products, they will give you a full refund. This is really amazing since they are digital products that can’t technically be returned.
If you do decide to cancel at any point, you get to keep all downloaded plugins and themes.
You have nothing to lose, so try WPLegalPages today!
